The HONK! Festival is a revolutionary street spectacle of
never-before-seen proportions that will converge for the seventh time in Davis Square, Somerville, MA, from Friday, October 5 through Monday, October 8, 2012!

Bands play for community and after-school groups
4:00 to 7:00p: LANTERN MAKING WORKSHOPS
Learn how to make your own lantern in Hodgkins Park, which can be use in the night time lantern parades. A great family event!
7:00 to 9:00p: LANTERN PARADES
Sidewalk processions around Davis Square accompanied by bike lights, paper lanterns, flashlights, and other forms of

More than 30 activist street bands, from around the world, perform outdoors for free.

Sunday, Oct 7th

Noon – 2:00p: HONK! PARADE to “Reclaim the Streets for Horns, Bikes and Feet”
featuring HONK! bands and community groups, from Davis Square to Harvard Square’s Oktoberfest celebration. The parade leaves Davis Square at 12 noon, travels down Elm Street, then Beech Street onto Massachusetts Ave to Harvard Square.
2:15 – 6:00: HARVARD SQUARE OKTOBERFEST
HONK! bands perform at the Harvard Square Oktoberfest (www.harvardsquare.com).
8:00p – 12:00a The HONK! Festival ALL-BAND BLOWOUT CONCERT
The final blowout concert will feature almost every band (over 30 of them!) raising sweet HONK! music up to the roof inside the spectacular Sanders Theatre in Harvard Square.

Tickets: $15 general admission, $10 for students, available at the HONK! merchandise booth during the festival (cash only), and at the door (credit cards accepted).
